happy birthday dad
in honor of my dad's 40th birthday, i did an ootd in his work shirt. he has been working for bmw for 16 years, drives a 7 series, & helped me find my 3 series for super cheap when i moved back to the bay last year. adult-ing is so hard & annoying but having a mechanic for a dad makes it a hell of a lot easier. whenever my car has problems, my dad always hooks it up with discounted parts & does the labor for free 😁!
aside from being my personal mechanic, he is a pretty great dad. he was 16 when i was born & although i don't remember from my own memory, i know he was quick to get his shit together to be my dad. growing up, we moved houses three times because he strived for the best home & neighborhood for our family. he raised me by himself throughout my bratty ass teenage years (enough said). when i decided it was time to leave nyc, he welcomed me back home with open arms. he fixes cars all day & comes home to work on his drag car all night. i hope everyone in this world is at least half as passionate about something as my dad is about cars.
i asked him to give me one of his work shirts a few months back. i obviously wanted it for fashun reasons lol: it looks cool & fits my tomboy-ish style. but i also wanted it as a keepsake. i wear it pridefully because it represents all of the passion & dedication i see in him.
dad, tbh, i hope u never find my blog or any of my social medias, but happy birthday!!! i know you feel weird & old turning 40 but u act like ur 14 so chill out lol. also stop asking me what "lol" means. 143! now get off my blog!!!!! 👨
